14-Sep-2014 - CJBRC Sunday Prayer

DONT BE PROUD

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense. (II Chronicles 26:16)

Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah. ( II Chronicles 26:1)

But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the LORD's wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.(II Chronicles 32:25)

haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, (Proverbs 6:17)

The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. (Proverbs 16:5)

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.(Ezekiel 28:17)

'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because the great cedar towered over the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height,(Ezekiel 31:10)

Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble.(Romans 11:20)

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (II Corinthians 10:5)

CJBRC Sunday Prayer- 31-Aug-2014

Morning Prayer - By Pr. Victor Dharmaselvam

Let the house of Aaron say: "His love endures forever." (psalms 118 3)

If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church? (I Timothy 3 5)

When her husband Elkanah went up with all his family to offer the annual sacrifice to the Lord and to fulfill his vow, 22 Hannah did not go. She said to her husband, “After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present him before the Lord, and he will live there always.” ( I Samuel 1 22)

Night Prayer - By Pr.John Kumar

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. (I John 1:6)

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.(I John 2:6)

That night the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham." (Genesis 26:24)

They answered, "We saw clearly that the LORD was with you; so we said, 'There ought to be a sworn agreement between us'--between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you (Genesis 26:28)

(Deuteronomy )

"I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel."(Jeremiah 15:21)

But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.(Isaiah 52:12)

CJBRC Sunday Prayer: 17 August 2014

Listen to the Word of Lord

What Lord speaks to the Church:
  • Hear what the Lord says to you, people of Israel.(Jeremiah 10:1)
  • He said, "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel. (Jeremiah 18:6)
Royal Official's son cured:
  • "Go," Jesus replied, "your son will live." The man took Jesus at his word and departed. (John 4:50)
  •  Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." So he and his whole household believed. (John 4:53)
Lydia and her family saved:
  • Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us. (Acts 16: 14,15)
Ober-Edom and household blessed:

  • The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household (II Samuel 6:11)
What we should do?

  • So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.(I Corinthians 14:15)

Vow to the God

Do not delay to fulfill Vow:

When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.(Ecclesiastes 5:4)

Offer What is best:

Do not offer to the Lord the blind, the injured or the maimed, or anything with warts or festering or running sores. Do not place any of these on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord.(Leviticus 22:22)

Be careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings anywhere you please. Offer them only at the place the Lord will choose in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you.(Deutoronomy 12:13,14)

Making Vow and refraining later:

When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.(N

But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. 23 Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.(Deutoronomy 22:22,23)

Jephthah and Hannah:

And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands(judges 11:30)

And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” (1 Samuel 1:11)

HOW TO RECEIVE HELP FROM GOD - CRY

What is the Spirit we received?

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son-ship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." (Romans8:25)

Call with Faithfulness

Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. (Psalms 4:3)

Call in Truth

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. (Psalms 145:18)

Call with Sacrifice thank offerings

"Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

Who all cried to Lord:

Jonah: He said: "In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.(Jonah 2:2)

Hannah: In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”(Samuel 1:10,11)

Blind Man: He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"(Luke 18:38,39)
